Cogmed Working Memory Training

Working memory is the ability to keep information in your mind for a short period of time (seconds) and to be able to use this information in your thinking.  Your working memory is closely related to your ability to concentrate.  You can remember information for a short time while you are concentrating on it, but it may disappear if you become distracted. Your working memory is used to perform a variety of tasks such as: remembering instructions, keeping all parts of a number in your memory while performing calculations, remembering what you have read, sequencing a task, planning, organizing and structuring your daily life.
